Recently our children overheard somebody say some words we didn't want them to repeat. Here is the dialogue that followed:
Me: Don't use those words. Copy the words I use instead, okay?
Daughter: Copy the words I use instead, okay?
Me: Ha, ha. That's not what I meant.
Daughter: Ha, ha. That's not what I meant.
Ad infinitum. Or so it seemed.
