It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas?
|
"I'll have a blue-berry Christmas without you!" |
|
"Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light!" |
|
"Lo, how a rose e'er blooming. . . " |
|
"The holly and the ivy. . . ?" |
Sure, Christmas is only 12 days away, but you wouldn't know it by looking in my front flower beds. We've got blossoms even more than these. The windows are open, and I'm letting the kids play outside in short sleeves. It's that warm out.
Certainly we're not even close to a white Christmas.
Yep, I let my "put some socks on" rule go today. It's warm in these parts as well, although I think all of that will be changing by the end of the week. Enjoy while it lasts!
ReplyDeleteMy husband, who loves the cold and grew up in Minnesota, is hoping it gets cold soon.
DeleteWow, that is impressive! The only thing currently growing in our garden is mud! I have also started wearing 2 pairs of socks at a time again. I did notice some tiny snowdrop buds coming up under a tree the other day though, so there is hope for January :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for some snow in January. . . even if I really don't like the cold myself. There's something about the beauty of it. . . of the birds at the feeder. . . even of the huge pile of snow clothes and boots piled up near the door.
